As days pass by you can see your hardware become outdated, especially when it comes to graphics cards which release noticeably faster cards about every year or so. The new GTX 260 and 280 GPUs once more give show to that.
Offering 50% more juice than the 8800GX2 overclocked AMP! edition the GTX 280 is definitely going to be a beauty which just can’t be outplayed, or can it?
Well throwing them in Tri-SLI can definitely do the job for you! With a starting price of $649 a card though at launch actually going for this setup might be a little pricey for the average person but in case your a real hardware nut you can’t go without.
For a starting price of $369 the GTX 260 will offer 896mb and serve as the next-gen midrange card. Offering results beyond the 9800GTX according to the benchmarks this card is most certainly offering the bang for buck.

The prices seem quite fair given the performances. Thanks for sharing this info with us.
Now, I wonder what ATI will offer against these power-packed Nvidia graphic cards…

None :P, or well the 4850 and 4870 but in the benchmarks they underperformed greatly when compared to the new nvidia cards.
