Review
The movie takes off where the end of the series has left us, continuing the war with the Ori and bringing back a former foe this time created by own hand.
Because of this the movie really is something for those whom are familiar with the series and especially the Ori arc (season 9 and 10), without that understanding there are many parts of the movie which will most likely leave you wondering. In this aspect Stargate: The ark of Truth is more of a double episode in the series rather than a movie.
In contrary to the series it does pick up numerous plots at once encountering multiple kind of foes which gives the sensation of being rushed through certain parts.
Plenty of what is seen within the series though, the exploring, searching for ancient artifacts, strong opponents giving some harsh resistance but in the end of course our heroes coming out as victorious.
Although it’s not truly to be called a movie in my opinion, with many open ends being closed it’s still a must see for the SG-1 fans. Numerous questions which remained open with the ending of the series will be answered, presented completely in style of the series and with that we can even see the formidable AI encountered written in JavaScript through the fingers.
