Holland is up again tonight!

And obviously they’re going for the win! This time the match against France, will we see such spectacular results again like in the match versus Italy? I don’t know but I sure as hell hope so!

Even if a a draw with France would theoretically be enough I definitely hope to see us win again, 2:1 for our team would be an awesome final score for a match like this. They definitely do have quite some good players amongst their team though which they didn’t place in against Romania but without a doubt will be using tonight.

The other match will be between Italy and Romania, I suspect Italy to go all out here and make up for its loss against the Dutch team, ending up in a score of about 2:0.

Back to yesterday’s matches Croatia versus Germany definitely surprised me, who would ever have thought that Germany would lose from Croatia. The frustration amongst the players was also definitely to be seen and Schweinsteiger even ending up with a red card.

Yet another surprise was Austria scoring, although they didn’t win, they did get a draw. Webb was definitely strict though in giving Austria that penalty in the 93rd minute, I don’t think he made many friends in Poland by doing so.

  1. *waves*
The Germans were surprised by the tactic of the Croatians and after the first goal the Germans were lost. It looked like they weren’t able to cope with “nasty” tactic. They didn’t know who to attack and who not. In the second half they settled a bit, but of course by then the game was kinda lost already.

The red card at the end was ok, the related yellow cards were questionable, in my opinion.

Well, I just hope Germany will win against Austria and get into the quarter finale.

For now I wish luck to the Netherlands as I’d like to see them in the finales if Germany isn’t able to get there.

  2. Hehe, still alive I see :).

The yellow cards which went along with the red card definitely were a bit iffy. But the UEFA has greatly cranked up the strictness referees are to use and I think that’s mainly where it came from, just for setting an example.

I have no doubt to see Germany win from Austria though, even though I couldn’t imagine them losing from Croatia I definitely can’t imagine them losing from Austria.
