Plugins which haven’t seen an update come by in months and wordpress which is still on version 2.5, let’s kick in the updates before applying the new theme.
Currently I’m throwing in the updates to wordpress and multiple plugins which I’m using to make sure that before I will apply the new theme everything is on the latest version.
That way the versions used here and on the test blog will be identical, shouldn’t run into any issues at all with the transfer with that. On top of that I’ll also be cleaning up the older plugins a bit, there’s a huge collection of plugins which haven’t been used in about a year still in the folders.
Soon the new design will be implanted here as well, I’m just making sure that before doing so everything is at its best so the transfer will be as smooth as possible. If due to the plugin updates certain functions stop working rest assured, they should be directly fixed with the new design. Some plugins changed function titles I noticed so those will no longer be visible for the time being.
