It’s been a while since the last entry but I didn’t get around to writing any sooner I’m afraid. Last week I had my exam, although I prepared quite well for it I didn’t know everything unfortunately. There were quite a bit of questions related to the electro-physiology of the human brain and in general which isn’t particularly my cup of tea as a matter of speech.
On that same day I also picked up my girlfriend from the airport again, what a wait that was. Since I was done with my exam within 2 hours again like usual I arrived in Amsterdam many hours before her plane landed, hours which I filled up with pretty much nothing because there’s not a single thing of interest to do at that place to fill up the time with.
Fortunately enough her plane didn’t have any delays or anything, otherwise I’d have had to wait even longer! After the plane landed though which was even before the scheduled time she arrived rather quickly at the arrivals section so we could quickly get on the train. No traditional stop at the burger king, but I just couldn’t see any more of Schiphol for the day.
During the past couple of days we’ve spent the first two pretty much inside, the weather just isn’t really on our side. Where as it was around 20 degrees not too far from this time of the year last year, it’s around 5 degrees now. The sunny weather we had back then has been replaced with no more than rain and even hail right now.
Yesterday we took a break from spending most of the day inside though and went to the cinemas where we saw 10.000 BC. Before the movie we walked around through the city center for a while, luckily for us not too much rain. Didn’t really buy anything except for fries, hehe. My girlfriend is a fries monster I’m afraid…
The movie itself wasn’t too bad, took a while before it started though I must say, think it was 20 minutes later than the scheduled time or something? Although of course funny to see how one of those primitive tribes spoke fluent English, but I guess that’s just the way things go.
I must say that the prophecies were a bit far fetched though, too unlikely to ever happen for real, hehe. And I have to add from my girlfriend that we were just thinking about stargate anyway, just waiting for the goa’uld to jump in.

Wait, did you just say that there’s not a single interesting thing to do in Amsterdam??

Since she was arriving by plane I was waiting for her at Schiphol airport, not within the Amsterdam city center.
Asides from that I must say though that although Amsterdam is a great tourist location, especially within the summer, but once you live within about an hour or 2 away from it and it’s a rainy afternoon Amsterdam isn’t all that special and definitely doesn’t have much to offer you which you haven’t seen before.
