About 2 days ago my laptop decided to crash itself well, I suppose it felt unwanted by being replaced in the near future. I ended up with a lovely BSoD (blue screen of death for those not familiar with the term) and decided to reboot my computer, then the same thing kept happening over and over. Once you begin getting that bells of course start ringing, this isn’t good.

So I inserted the windows cd to boot up from that to reinstall windows, lovely to see there that my disk was as good as empty, apparently something messed up my partition and rendered it pretty much useless. The reinstall luckily went relatively fast and for a change without my laptop hanging up 10 times during the process, so I suppose that’s a good thing? Still though it took me like 4 hours or so afterwards before I finally had all the applications and drivers I needed installed/downloaded again.

I suppose it truly is getting time to buy the new computer, I’ve made some little adjustments on the specs though since my last post on it. After checking a bunch of benchmarks on the results I simply wasn’t totally satisfied so made some little alterations, pricing is now about 785 Eur though which I’d prefer down a little bit. Seeing as to how soon nVidia and Intel come with respectively their new graphics cards and quad core cpu’s I suppose I might see some drop in price on the ones I desire.

Within about week or three or so around my birthday though I will most definitely be buying it, as my girlfriend will just have been here with me and I will have some time left before another exam comes up. That should give me the time to get it set up well and finally have something which would run smoothly again, let not even mention how slow the newer games run on this laptop if they even start up at all.

Have your say
