It strikes me as odd when I realize how fast this study year is actually coming by, this morning I checked up on around which date the year’s final exam would be and that turned out to be in the beginning of July. Since that one comes with a period of around 2 weeks up front in which we have no classes it means that there’s just 4 months of classes left for this year.
For me it definitely wouldn’t be a surprise if the next theme will fly by real fast as well, especially since the subject is going to be the human brain and everything to do with it I’m sure it’s a promise for quite a load of interesting and educational classes.
When looking at the overall picture this means that there’s just about a year left of classes, or perhaps not even. I’m not exactly sure when the classes will be coming to an end but it’s somewhere halfway through in the next year. After that it’ll be either 2 years of internship followed by 6 months of clinical research or vice versa.
Although the internships will be coming with long days, having to work pretty much 5 days of the week throughout the entire year and barely remaining with any free time on your hands it’s definitely something which part of me is greatly looking forward to.
Having had all those years of classes it just is time for a change, last month’s internship was great as a little break from it but it was just over a period of 4 weeks which flew by terribly fast.
Unfortunately there’s still a long track ahead of me though, around 3 and a half years to go before I graduate and then there’s still many, many more years to come of specializing. Fortunately enough as the time goes by it’ll all become more clinical, less time being spent in the benches and listening to classes but actually have contact with real patients, experiencing what it’ll be like to truly be a doctor.

I wish you the best of luck and many blessings! It is a long road but you will find, as you get older, time really flies when life gets busy!
