Although it has been awfully quiet around here lately I definitely didn’t desert Slevi, I must say though that I have been writing less than I wished for at first but it has been quite a busy period. The last couple of weeks I have been so pre-occupied with other stuff Slevi just got pushed asides a bit, whether this is a good thing or bad thing, who knows.

One of the things I’ve been quite busy with was studying for an exam I had yesterday, my first exam of this year was unfortunately my first failure as well with a score of 5.3 so I did all I could to study well for this one, hoping to pass this one instead. Of course it’s going to take another couple of weeks before we’ll be handed back the results, but I feel confident about it.

There might have been other things I could have skipped on as well, but in my eyes Slevi was the best choice. It does take up quite a lot of time to write to effectively, something which at first many probably wouldn’t say except those which actually blog themselves. Blogging can be quite a tough task to do unless you want to go for those lame one-liner entries about how you fed your cat a different type of food today, depending on the type of entry it can actually take up to about an hour at times to write up and correct.

Because Slevi isn’t the only thing I’m wanting to be doing with my life I’ll be having a more laid back approach from now on, the daily entries just are quite a tough task along with studying and my personal interests.

On the other hand though, I’m definitely not giving up on Slevi here, it still has a long way to go and I’ve still got a gazillion ideas on what to do with it, how to make it even better, stuff to write about, projects I could work on on the side, etcetera. But time just is a critical factor in that and I’m sort of having to prioritize things out better if I want to make all of that a reality.

I’m pretty sure though that by the time we reach the year of 2050 I must have found enough time in the world to keep on doing the stuff I like to get a big load of those ideas through ;-).

And yes, of course I’ll still be writing to Slevi in 2050! Only quitters give up on their blogs, and am I a quitter? Heck no! Although those 3-month blogs of the past don’t count along, hehe.

So bare with me here, but don’t forget that there’s still going to be dozens of years ahead for Slevi.

  5. [...] Real life is taking up an overwhelming amount of time – It happens at times, seeing as to how I’m not a professional blogger I rely on spare time. As efficiently as I try to fill it up, sometimes you simply have a busy set of weeks. [...]

Have your say

Like many others I'm a slave to modern society dominated by mass media, I can be hooked on the latest series for months without missing a single episode or simply having to see a certain movie.

And if you thought music wouldn't be included there, you're dead wrong! Practically non stop I listen to music from various artists, I just can't stand the silence anymore.
