What historical time period would you most like to visit? Why?

I don’t think there’s really one in particular I’d like to visit, there are just so many historical periods which one probably would want to see the list could go on for days. Just from the last century in example the communistic soviet union would be something I’d like to see, the Berlin wall falling down, Japan during WW II, Europe during WW II, WW I, etcetera.

And this is just still the military and political conflicts, then of course there’s the first moon landing, prior space launches, medical discoveries, newer technology coming through, etcetera.

So many things have happened in just the last 100 years already which one would probably like to experience in more than just reading books. When going further back there’s of course the great civilizations like Carthage, Greeks, Romans, Chinese, Mongols, Egyptians and the many more older civilizations on top of medieval Europe and it’s conflicts in return from the countries like France, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom and of course not to forget my own; Holland.

With the civilizations comes colonization as well, first traveling around the world, discovering the new continents and you can simply go on and on. There’s just so many things to pick from already and yet we’re just going back in history a couple of thousands of years, if we’d go even further to see how mankind would come into existence and evolve to what we are today there’s a couple tens of thousands years of history to see and add to the list.

On top of that there’s still a lot more which happened before that as well of course and in example seeing dinosaurs roam the planet would be quite a thing to see as well, yet the list grows bigger and bigger.

No, I wouldn’t be able to make my pick.

  1. I agree there are many occasions & eras I would love to visit, can you imagine going back to a couple of days before 9/11 for example or the day before JFK was shot?

  2. EeeeeK I remember the Soviet Union, and the moon landing!!!! I’m soooo old!

Mine is up too, if you have a moment stop by, here is the direct link:

  3. @Amanda: Especially JFK would be a nice historical moment to go back to, 9/11 I personally wouldn’t be that interested in.

@Sue: Hehe, age is catching up ;).

    Thanks for stopping by ^^.
