Well, one thing is for sure, I have beaten my last years summer holidays which started on the 9th of August by quite a few days this year. It still took quite some time though to get the 2 redo exams done but it’s finally over with, for the upcoming month till the end of August or early September I can lay back and relax, no more exams to prepare for or whatsoever. Sort of similar like last year I passed again for sure, so that’s awesome to know of course. Hoping to have passed one of these redo exams at least though, that would mean the second year is completely covered with and something I wouldn’t be having to look back to anymore.

A couple of weeks from now still probably it’s going to be time to order next years books again and get the schedule and such, I guess it’s going to be coming somewhat mid August again like usual. Next year is yet again going to be made up from 2 themes mainly, the year will be kicked of with the reproduction cycle (about 5 months of it) and the brain and senses (about 5 months of it) in the end of the year. In between there’ll be some other stuff again but that’s pretty much it.

It’s weird, but over 50% of the theory part of the study has already been done with. As the upcoming year will be going along it’s definitely starting to go faster and faster with every day before I’ll actually be starting out as an intern.

As for the books from what I’ve seen from the book lists from the last couple of years it’s going to be quite a bunch again, so I suppose there’ll be a lot of nice new stuff to read again. I must say though that I haven’t read all of the books I have so far yet though. Some are really nice and informative, some are great for references and some I’ve barely touched. Embryology would be a good example of that, some 2 book set we had to take for I believe the first year and I have only read about a chapter from it so far. Hasn’t really gotten my interest yet I guess, although the formation of the heart being the chapter which I fully read wasn’t too bad.

But enough about my studies for now, as said holidays arrived. Time to sit back and relax so that’s exactly what I’m going to do right now!

  1. You know I don’t think I read most of the books I had either except for a couple which the professors made us do but didnt really have much to do with what we were studying.

Have your say

Like many others I'm a slave to modern society dominated by mass media, I can be hooked on the latest series for months without missing a single episode or simply having to see a certain movie.

And if you thought music wouldn't be included there, you're dead wrong! Practically non stop I listen to music from various artists, I just can't stand the silence anymore.
