Well, I must say that fully setting up a new system always takes some time with me when it comes to installing the applications I require by default, it’s a shame you can’t let that all be done during the Windows installation.
Anyways, after I have installed Vista yesterday I so far have installed the following set of applications already seeing as to how I frequently use them:
- Office 2007
- VLC Media Player
- Winamp
- Joost
- Last.FM
- WinRAR
- Firefox
- Daemon-Tools
Now I know I’m not quite there yet as I’ll also still need to be installing photoshop, dreamweaver and the like along with a couple of other applications as well. But I’ll put those on hold for now, won’t be needing them for much in the upcoming week anyways as I’ll mainly be preparing for another exam. On that note by the way I have passed my previous exam, so so far getting the last part of my summer holidays completely open is coming along quite well if I might say so myself.
I must say that overall Vista so far has been running quite smooth, even in the Aero Glass mode. Compared to the Pre-RC1 I used before it’s a lot more stable, which of course doesn’t really surprise me but it’s nice to see that it did actually speed up over time.
