The best shows simply come on television at night, don’t ask me why but it’s true. Like last week I already mentioned Star Trek original series running at night time on BBC Two and now Brainiac on Discovery Channel. In this show with Richard Hammond and Jon Tickle their aim is simply as the subtitle of the show says “science abuse”.
In the latest season unfortunately Richard Hammond has been replaced by another host due to his accident of last year, but well, we’re not in the 5th season yet so still have him for a while. The tests they do though are always a great laugh, like:
- What happens with items being put in the microwave
- What causes most pain
- How to propel shopping carts the best
- How to survive a dropping lift
- On which part of the body gives pinching the most pain
- And many more ridiculous things
It’s always a lot of fun to watch, sort of like Myth Busters and the Men in White although their focus here rather than busting myths or actually doing something useful with science here they simply go for destruction and carnage in as many possible ways with the daily things used in the absolutely wrong manners.
