As announced priorly I’m having to do 2 years of my study at once now in order to catch up with a so called “block” I didn’t manage to pass last year, can’t really call it a subject due to the way the study is built up. But this resulted in a doubling of the amount of classes I attended last week in comparison to normally. I must say it wasn’t too bad, but it does take away a lot of what usually was spare time.
I did manage to do some things outside of studying alone though, so I haven’t been sitting around doing entirely nothing. Like this I have watched the latest Naruto Shippuden episode yesterday, it definitely was a nice episode. I missed this kind of fighting in all the fillers of Naruto previously. Now I don’t want to be spoiling too much for the people which still have to see it, but Kakashi definitely is going to have a hard time with Naruto and Sakura this time. It will be interesting to see how the characters evolve even further over time, growing stronger and stronger.
Myself I’m quite a fan of Sasuke though, although he isn’t being showed much yet in the early episodes I hope to see more of him appear soon. I haven’t read the mange too much yet though, so I don’t exactly know on when more of him will be appearing again.
Now the wait till next week is always one of the most annoying things about an ongoing anime series, why can’t they just work a bit faster on it, hehe. Ok, guess I do have to keep in mind that the creators are just human as well ;).
I managed to do some work in Maya as well continuing the modeling work on my spitfire. Although it’s not as much done this week as previous weeks we can definitely see how the spitfire progress goes on and on, slowly but steadily. The prop and engine have been modeled in here as you might have noticed if you kept track on the results, also we have quite nice a view on the wings on this image as well.
I know that it doesn’t all look too smooth, especially the sides of the plane. I will try to work this out as modeling on it continues, but since it’s my first vehicle modeled basically I think it isn’t too bad.
Now the engine and props are placed in place the work on the wheels was about to start, but first the location for the wheels to be pulled up in for when in flight would have to be created. For something which looks so simple it did take some time but the result did work out quite nicely as we can see on the following image.
I hope the image is not too dark for it to be seen. I added some lights on the bottom of the plane to lighten it up a bit from below but I must say the image turned out darker than expected at first when looked at in the scene.
Over the next week I hope to find the time on implanting the wheels onto the plane. Because I have to study quite a lot with 2 exams having to be made within the upcoming 2 weeks I do not have that much of spare time available. But if not much can be done in the upcoming 2 weeks I know for sure I will be working further on it afterwards.
So far I’m quite liking the modeling approach, kinda enables you to go free and do what you want, playing around a bit and instantly having a visual result rather than with programming. Which is when you do not have that much of available time like now, definitely a nice thing.
If you’d happen to have any tips on modeling or have any work yourself which you’d like to show, feel free to do so. I like seeing input and work from other people, it is a great resource for inspiration.
For now it is back to studying though, got quite an amount of pages left to read for today to keep on schedule. Hope to be able to pass on both exams, although the second will have highest priority, so it’ll take some determination.

I clicked on this post from the sidebar but see it is from last year. Just a note, the ad you have covers the entire first paragraph so I can’t read it.
Anyways, Naruto is my children’s favorite show.
I like that noisey theme from season 2 — I have my set of lyrics to it — my children think it is funny.

Mmh, the issue with the ad is something I’m not familiar with. What sort of browser are you using when you get this problem, and which version? Also any specific operating system?
