No! It’s a frog! Ok, sounds a lot less spectacular than superman, but still it might be a superfrog… right? After having worked through the Gnomon Polygon 1 disc creating a frog is what was shown, the progress of creating this frog is displayed below.

The first steps have been done here, creating the “outer-hull” and what is supposed to form the frog-legs. It already looks a bit recognizable as a frog I must say, but of course it could be much better.

Here our frog has gotten his feet and he’s been mirrored so it finally has became a full frog rather than half a frog. After all, half a frog is no frog right? His front feet turned out rather small. A little mess-up, but it’s a superfrog after all right? It can perfectly keep itself up with those small feet. Jumping might be a completely other story, but that’ll be something for the next frog I think.

Because we already messed up his feet we simply couldn’t do it to this frog to let him live with a hole in his front and back, so we had to patch this up as good as I could. Which…. isn’t too good if you ask me, it is a bit too pointy making it look more like the face of a lizard than that of a frog, but this is superfrog, so everything is possible.

Because all this frog has had to go through the least we could do was make him green, but even that is just all fake as it simply is green lighting pointed onto the frog to make him appear green. This superfrog is one of the most poorest creatures I’ve seen with his lizard face, needled size feet and gray skin color. If that wouldn’t be reason to be depressed I wouldn’t know what would be.
But it was fun creating the frog, a lot of techniques came into place which I never used before so that was cool. It totally speeds up progress a lot I must say and makes it a lot easier to get the basic shapes of the frog through resolving, rather than box modeling it with no reference material.
