Today I finished a mech which was capable of “walking”, a walker as they call it over at 3D Trainer; and a spooky tree. The tree wasn’t too spooky at all actually, and the mech wasn’t too great either, but both did show some more about how to use the joints to create a skeleton which can be used for movement. I must say I find it much easier than in the past, perhaps since I did a lot of object oriented programming in the meantime which made the entire child-parent concept a lot easier to grasp.
The models on themselves don’t look all too great, so screenshots aren’t really needed. I would like to post the videos of them in animation, but since it takes so damn long to render them I will leave that for now. In the future I will start making a selection of the best and let the renders for those run overnight, hoping to come up with some sort of animation once a week or something in a couple of months?
Currently I will be starting with modelling an alien, I hope to have finished that by the end of the week. Although the modelling itself probably won’t take that much time, I will be having to spend some time on my exam still. After that it’ll be the next course to pick though from my collection, I must say that I quite liked doing this one already :).
