During the upcoming week I’ll be thinking of what I will be focussing on next year when it comes to using the comp. The past year it has mainly been programming and web development, learned a lot of new CSS stuff and got a good idea of the concept of using AJAX, but there’s more to life than just that ofcourse.
Now there are basically 3 choices I’ve limited myself to already, although I haven’t made a final decision yet:
- Continue on the programming and scripting aspect
- Explore my artistical side and learn to draw better, get into speedpainting and CG
- Combine the both of them, leaving less time for each though
It’s a hard choice, especially since I like programming and scripting a lot, but I’ve been doing it for years already now and it is being limited pretty much to just testing purposes and such simply because I don’t have the skills to create a nice graphical side to things. By exploring my artistical side this could change, I can learn how to work with graphics better and create more professional results. Within the last month or 2 I have already been doing that in some way and it does appeal to me a lot, which is weird in some way as a couple of years ago I completely hated it.
The decision will be coming this week though, and that will also determine the fate of Slevi for 2007 :).
