I am having all sorts of nice ideas which I can use to form myself a game with in XNA, basically starting by drawing sceneries and character sketches, visualizing these ideas I have. One thing is for sure, it will be in a fantasy RPG setting. That is just my favourite genre and working with something you like just makes things so much more easier since you have a decent amount of knowledge on how it should be done and makes it more interesting to work on.
When I am working on something this is always the way I basically do things, although some prefer to directly start of with the coding part I always like to see something the moment I write the code, getting the feeling of truly bringing something to life. Ofcourse first models and such will still be replaced in the end with more detailed models, improved textures and such, but that will not be the focus in the first phase.
I will probably not be going as fast with this as most other indie game devs would do, time just is a limiting factor and that will always be something which I will have fo face with.
