I have always been a fan of British comedy and with recently seeing the end of Monty Py~thons Flying Circus shows I was happy to find out yesterday that Black Adder started airing again on Canvas, a Belgium television channel. I missed out on the first episode appearantly though which started 2 days ago, but from now on I’ll be seeing all episodes every day.
Todays episode The Archbishop:
The King has murdered three successive Archbishops of Canterbury so Blackadder is understandably terrified when he is the next appointment. Determined not to be the next prelate to be brutally slain in a freak accident, he brilliantly persuades a rich nobleman to donate all his lands to the King and not the Church. However, the King accidentally orders Blackadder’s murder anyway.
Blackadder narrowly escapes and is stripped of the title of Archbishop when all three popes realise that he is not suitable priest material.
I wonder if Canvas will continue to air British comedy like this, before Monty Py~thon I’ve actually never watched Canvas so I am not aware whether it has doen this before already or whether it is just for the summer.
